Mandate of the Division:

 

  1. To carry out Acute Flaccid Paralysis (AFP) Surveillance for Delhi and neighboring states.
  2. To carry out Environmental Surveillance for Polioviruses (EPS) for Delhi and neighboring states.
  3. To continue with a robust Quality Management System and maintain Accreditation status of the laboratories.
  4. The continue Measles and Rubella Surveillance for Delhi and neighboring states.
  5. To provide diagnostic support for investigation of other viruses such as Parvo Virus B-19, Varicella Zoster Virus, Mumps Virus, Adeno Virus, Enteroviruses and Epstein Barr Virus.
  6. To carry out Environmental Surveillance for COVID-19.
